Hey everyone, the group has gotten so big that the admins have decided to put a limit on submissions. Every member of the group is only allowed to submit TWO deviations PER MONTH.

Furthermore, all submissions will be screened and accessed for quality. Please do not be discouraged if we decline your submission; this is part of our new quality criteria. As a result of this latest policy change, all submissions that don't meet our standards will be removed from the gallery.

Thank you all for being a part of this group! Lets strive to become one of the best Manga/Anime groups on DeviantART!

P.S: Do NOT ask us to create a new folder for a fandom/anime/manga/etc due to the fact that we have created more than enough folders already and if we create more, it will cause more problems later on (the main one being more people asking for MORE folders), please understand, thank you! :)

We DO NOT accept :

 Line-Arts ( We want fully drawn, colored, & shaded artworks!)

 Inked Art, i.e. Manga pages, black & white.

 Scraps, Doodles, Rough Drafts

 Photo-manipulations

  Vectors

  Artworks that use bases are not allowed.

  Artworks that are NOT safe to be viewed by younger artists. (No Nudity, over-the-top Gore, Ecchi, Hentai, etc. Applies with the Literature Folder as well. ) Mild violence is OK.

  Artworks that doesn't show any anime character. (We DON'T accept deviations that ONLY shows masks, equipment, accessories..etc of an anime character)

  Art styles that branch too much beyond Japanese-style anime such as American style comics, cartoons, etc.

  Photos that are unclear, has a lot of noise, very dark, blurry, etc. (Applies with cosplay photos, plushies, non-scanned pieces, etc.)

 Collaboration pictures are judged and voted upon as a WHOLE. ( Messy line- arts, coloring, etc. regardless if it was/wasn't your part will be voted upon entirely.)

Quality Control- Criteria-General

:nuu: Line Art
Should be decent and clean. It does not need to be thin, but should be neat enough to look at. No overlapping lines, inconsistent lines, etc.

:nuu: Coloring
Art pieces should at least be of intermediate level in terms of coloring. However, a poorly done piece that has soft shading/hard shading/complex shading may also have the odds of getting declined, compared to a neatly done cel-shaded piece. So, be careful.

:nuu: Shading
A decent understanding of value is required for the quality of the pieces we accept. Proper placement of where light/shade should be is crucial to get your works in the group. However, submitting a flat-colored piece does not necessarily mean that the piece have zero chances of getting in the gallery. Neatly executed pieces have better chances regardless.

:nuu: Anatomy
Weird/ awkwardly drawn body parts in a piece are likely to be declined. Anatomy is the most important part for us when it comes to the quality of the work, so a decent understanding on anatomy is very much required to pass.

:nuu: Technique
Make us wonder: "How on earth did he do that??!".... By all means. Cel-shaded or paint Tool SAI coloring  which only have 2 values: e.g.) brown and dark brown and then using the water tool/brush tool for blend, and highlights lessens the chance for acceptance. Let's challenge ourselves and don't ever, ever, ever let people know how you did your work! (:<

:nuu: Chibis
Chibis are judged with the same quality control we have with the rest of the galleries. We look unto the effort on the piece, along with the other criteria, and are only accepted if they made it up to the group standards.

:nuu: Backgrounds
Artworks with plain white/incomplete backgrounds are likely to be declined. Also, a poorly done BG in contrast to a neatly done character may give the odds of the work getting declined.

:nuu:Watermarks
Please do not write watermarks that are so big, it destroys the image. We also decline works with BIG letterings written in them such as, "KIRIBAN FOR 20,000 PAGEVIEWS!" or "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO AW3ZUMMARTIST264!!!!11!!1", or something of the sort. It's alright if written on the title of the artwork, but if written directly on the art piece itself, then it has a really high, critical chance of getting declined.

Quality Control- Criteria-Cosplays/Crafts

Since our group is focused more in artworks than cosplay/artisan crafts, we vote with less filters when it comes to these two art genre.

:nuu: Lighting
Great use of lighting is maybe the very MOST we require with our photography. We should clearly see who the character you portray is, even if the lighting is dark to get the mood/setting. Bad lighting are declined immediately.

:nuu: Composition
We automatically decline those photos with blurry capture/weak focus. The edges of your character/creation should not be blurred; basically, we should have contrast with our work. Most especially, we decline pictures taken with a cellphone camera or a low resolution digicam.

:nuu: Perspective
Great perspective is a plus, but an automatic decline on bad angles. We decline pictures with a Facebook/Instagram/etc. style capture, guys.

:nuu: Costume and props
Lastly, we accept cosplays with a well executed costume- it doesn't need to be a $500 costume, but at least, it should be well made, and would be well enough to see who the character you're cosplaying is, whether it be your OC, or not.

Getting a critique

:star: Declined works might be because of the submission of a piece to the wrong folder, but sometimes it is because of the quality of the work.

:star: If you would like a critique* whether it was declined or not, leave a comment on the "feedback" section in the correspondence message or send a note to the group. Do NOT send on the Group's Profile Page.

:star: We provide critiques on the most constructive ways possible, so, please, do not get offended.

*Critiques may sometimes be given very late after the inquiry, or may not be given at all, so we deeply apologize for that... Our lives outside of the internet makes it hard for us to keep up, so we're really very sorry... ;__;
